Eco Printing Kit - Cotton with Iron and Tannin

$35.00

Eco printing is the process of transferring the tannins from leaves to fabric and paper using heat pressure and moisture. You can also create a type of resist eco print using tannins and iron. In this kit I lead you through the process of doing just that. We use powdered oak galls as our tannin and ferrus sulfate as our iron. When we combine the two in the form of fabric with leaves sandwiched between them, we get the gorgeous prints in the pictures. Some of my favorite plants to use are Sword Ferns.

Included in the kit:

2 100% Cotton scarves, rough edge. Ferrus Sulfate. Powdered Oak Galls. Small/Med latex gloves. Twine. Instructions. Recommended leaf list. Equipment list. Reading list.
